Let me get my gripes out of the way first. The book reads like a rough draft, with grammar errors to the point of distraction. I've read J.D. Johannes' blog entries, which are very well-written, so I am certain he's a good writer, or a good (enough) writer. That last sentence will only be appreciated by those who've read the book. I would even offer to do some editing for them, because the content itself is excellent.

This book is a book on how to lose weight, build muscle, and most importantly, build a custom workout that is right for you. And when I say "right for you", I don't mean some pansy workout to make you feel good about yourself in some new-agey way doing the same workout every week. I mean getting results by keeping data, and acting upon it. And you make the dietary changes that muscles need to grow and increase in strength. Practical and effective, and remarkably simple, which as a simpleton, I love. Please read.
